National Postdoc Appreciation Week

Every year in the 3rd week of September, Universities across the United States take part in the National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW). This year, Postdoc Appreciation Week is September 15-19. The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) and Stanford University Postdoctoral Association (SURPAS) are hosting a variety of events throughout the week. You can find out more on their website.

Library Classes & Events

We offer regular classes on topics including data science, literature searching, and writing & publishing. Registration is free, and most classes are taught over Zoom. This week, we have a slate of classes specifically designed to help Postdocs advance in their careers:

Bioinformatics Office Hours

Get help in person or on Zoom using bash, R, Python, Git, or Sherlock (Stanford’s research computing cluster) for academic purposes. These Office Hours occur from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM PST every Wednesday in the Lane Library Consulting Area.
