Dean Minor’s Summer Reading List
Lloyd B. Minor, MD, Dean of Stanford School of Medicine, recently shared his 2023 summer reading list on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, & Instagram). Describing his recommendations, Dean Minor stated:
“This summer, I’ve been drawn to books exploring how technology and the arts can influence our consciousness and perception and bring about transformative change in the world around us. From advances in AI and neuroscience to the study of neuroaesthetics, these first three titles offer a glimpse of the brain’s inner workings and the biomedical revolution on the horizon. My other three summer reads provide powerful perspectives on hardship, resilience, and triumph from different voices all over the world – serving as a reminder of the staggering power and resolve of the human spirit.”
Lane Library has purchased the books on Dean Minor’s reading list and they are ready for you to check out:
Print copies of the books are available in the Duck Room in Lane Library. To access the ebooks and audiobooks, a SUNet ID is required. All ebooks and audiobooks are limited to one concurrent user.
