Meet Your Lane Library Staff: Alain Boussard

Every month, we are spotlighting an amazing member of our library staff. This month meet Alain Boussard, System Software Developer.

What do you do at the library?

I’m a software engineer who maintains and updates the Lane website. I am responsible for ensuring the website is running 24/7.

What do you like best about the people who use Lane Library?

Everyone is very inclusive and innovative in their thinking. I feel like as a team we are collaborative and able to identify area for improvement in the website.

What is the most rewarding (or favorite) part of your job?

The most rewarding aspects of my job include facilitating access to the library content for users and creating a more satisfying user experience. Additionally, I enjoy learning the latest technologies to be applied to the website.

How long have you worked at Lane?

I’ve been working at Stanford for 20 years and at Lane library for 15 years.

What do you do in your spare time?

I play tennis competitively in USTA. I also enjoy spending time and traveling with my three children and wife. We go to France every summer to visit my family in Paris.
