Meet Your Lane Library Staff: Wen Chin Lee

Portrait of Wen Chin Lee, Library Specialist, Lending with text: "Every week this October, meet the people who make the Library work!"

For National Medical Librarians Month, we are spotlighting a few of the amazing members of our library staff. This week meet Wen Chin Lee, our Library Specialist, Lending.

What do you do at the library?

My primary job in the library is working with DocXpress Document Delivery Service. When people request articles and books, I work with other libraries to find materials for Stanford people and libraries outside of Stanford. Finding requested materials can be especially challenging when people request old, foreign publications that are unavailable in the U.S. I also help with cataloging e-books when I am not too busy with DocXpress requests.

What do you like best about the people who use Lane Library?

Everyone is friendly and always willing to help.

What is the most rewarding (or favorite) part of your job?

I enjoy meeting new people and helping them find resources for their work.

What do you do in your spare time?

I enjoy taking care of my plants. It helps me clear my mind. I have a lemon tree, a tangerine tree, a magnolia tree, several cactuses, and some seasonal flowers on my small balcony. I also have many indoor plants.
