Lane Library now provides access to the American Hospital Association’s Annual Survey and supplemental data sets.

You can access through the Graduate School of Business Library’s website. Register with your Stanford-affiliated email for 1-day access or request an account for ongoing access.

The AHA data sets contain detailed information about the demographic, operational, financial, and IT characteristics of U.S. hospitals.

• Demographic, operational, staffing, insurance, and utilization data from over 6,000 hospitals
• AHA Survey data for 11 years up to 2018, historical survey data going back to 1980
• AHA Survey IT Supplement provides data on healthcare IT indicators for 3,500 hospitals
• Financial Database provides data sourced from the Healthcare Provider Cost Reporting Information System
