Histories of Race and Gender at Stanford Medicine
A collection of original historical documents on activism related to race and gender at Stanford Medicine is now available in the Medical History Center in Lane Library. The collection includes materials from groups such as the Black Advisory Committee, La Alianza Latina, the Stanford Raza Medical Association, and Professional Women of Stanford Medical School. There are also materials on initiatives such as Stanford Hospital’s Affirmative Action Committee (started in 1973) and the School of Medicine’s Council on Diversity (started in 1992).
