Dean Minor’s Summer Reading List
Lloyd B. Minor, MD, Dean of Stanford School of Medicine, recently shared his 2024 summer reading list on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, & Instagram). Describing his recommendations, Dean Minor stated:
My reading this summer led me on a journey through some captivating and rapidly evolving fields: biology, education, communication, and the healing arts. Along the way, I picked up many valuable insights, including what’s ahead for RNA research, how AI will revolutionize our classrooms, new tools for strengthening connection through communication, and the healing power of music and the arts. For my fiction pick, I was captivated by Malas, a novel set on the Texas border, highlighting the meaning of family and the power of perseverance. I hope you enjoy my summer list — and I’d love to hear your recommendations!
