Stanford Authors Can Now Publish OA in BMJ Journals at No Cost

We are excited to announce that Lane Library has entered into a new Read and Publish agreement with BMJ, a leading medical publishing company dedicated to advancing healthcare through research and knowledge dissemination. This agreement marks a significant step towards enhancing our commitment to open access publishing for our researchers and clinicians.

Stanford University-affiliated authors can now publish in BMJ journals at no cost through our Read and Publish Agreement. This is particularly beneficial for our faculty and researchers as it eliminates financial barriers to sharing their findings with the global medical community. The agreement covers a wide range of BMJ’s journals, ensuring that our authors can choose the most suitable platform for their work.

Open access publishing is vital in today’s rapidly evolving research landscape. It ensures that valuable research is freely accessible to those who need it, including practitioners, policymakers, and the public. By collaborating with BMJ, Lane Library not only aligns with the growing movement toward transparent and accessible research but also enhances our institutional support for scholarly communication.
