Working off-campus? You can access the majority of our e-resources directly from the Lane Library website as you normally would while on the Stanford network. However, some of our resources require you to use the Stanford VPN while accessing the resource or creating an account.
Which resources require the use of a VPN?
How do I access the Stanford VPN?
Begin by downloading the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client from Stanford University Information Technology (UIT). Then review the UIT instructions for connecting to the Stanford VPN. If you experience any issues while using the VPN client, submit a UIT help ticket.
Which VPN connection works best for Lane Library resources?
Use the Full Traffic non-split VPN setting. This is not the default VPN setting.
How do I change my VPN connection?
After you open Cisco AnyConnect and are prompted to log in with your SUNet, the split-tunnel connection will be the default. Change this by choosing the VPN Full Traffic non-split-tunnel option in the drop-down menu.
